Using The GetsEverything V12 Android 12.0 4K Set-Top Box

Welcome to your new GetsEverything V12 Android 12.0 4K Smart TV Box! Follow these step-by-step instructions to set up and enjoy your new Android TV box.

Unboxing the H96 Max V12

In the box, you should find:

  • H96 Max V12 Android 12.0 TV Box
  • Power Adapter
  • HDMI Cable
  • Remote Control (batteries not included)
  • User Manual

Ensure all components are present before proceeding with setup.

Connecting the Device
  • Connect the HDMI Cable:

    • Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the back of the H96 Max V12.
    • Connect the other end to the HDMI input on your TV.
  • Power Up the Box:

    • Plug the power adapter into the H96 Max V12 and then into an electrical outlet.
    • The device will power on automatically or via the power button on the remote.
  • Select the Input Source on TV:

    • Using your TV’s remote, switch the input source to the HDMI port you connected to.
First-Time Setup
  • Language Selection:

    • Upon startup, you will be prompted to choose your preferred language. Use the remote control to navigate and select the language.
  • Connect to Wi-Fi:

    • Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
    • Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
  • Google Account Setup (Optional):

    • To access the Google Play Store, you’ll need to sign in with your Google account.
    • If you wish to download apps like YouTube, Netflix, or other Android TV apps, select Sign In and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Software Updates (Optional but recommended):

    • Go to Settings > About > System Updates to check if any firmware updates are available. Install if necessary.
Navigating the Set Top Box

    1. Home Screen:
      • The home screen gives you access to apps, settings, and content recommendations.
      • Use your remote’s D-pad (navigation buttons) to move between options.
    2. App Store & Pre-installed Apps:
      • The GetsEverything APP comes pre-installed on your box. During the initial setup, you will need to connect to Wi-Fi
      • (Optional) Access the Google Play Store or App Store to download apps like streaming services, games, and utilities.
      • Some apps like YouTube, Netflix, or Google Chrome might be pre-installed.
    3. Installing Apps (optional):
      • Open the Google Play Store from the home screen.
      • Search for the app you want and select Install.
    4. Accessing Content:
      • The GetsEverthing app opens on boot.  Login to your account to access GetsEverything.
      • Use the remote to control playback, volume, and app navigation.
Remote Control Functions
  • Power Button: Turn the GetsEverything box on/off.
  • D-pad (Arrow Keys): Navigate through menus and apps.
  • OK Button: Select or confirm options.
  • Back Button: Go back to the previous screen.
  • Home Button: Return to the home screen.
  • Menu Button: Open additional options within apps.
  • Volume Control: Adjust the volume of your TV box.
  • Voice Search (if supported): Hold the Microphone Button and speak into the remote to search for content (only available with certain remote models).
Connecting External Devices
  • USB Devices:
    • Connect external storage (like a USB drive) or peripherals (like a keyboard or mouse) into the USB ports on the side of the device.
  • Bluetooth:
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth to connect wireless accessories like headphones, game controllers, or keyboards.
Advanced Settings and Customization

Troubleshooting

No Signal on TV:

Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected and that the correct HDMI input is selected on your TV.

Wi-Fi Connection Issues:

Check if your Wi-Fi password is correct.

Restart your router and the H96 Max V12 if necessary.

App Crashes or Slow Performance:

Close unused apps by going to Settings > Apps and clearing the app cache if needed.
